The idea is to get out to a paintball park, hire the guns, buy the bullets, be on one of two teams, get out onto the field, and shoot the opposing team. Last team standing wins. Many games on different fields are played until your time is up or your out of bullets. You can play for half a day or a full day. I suggest half a day is good if this is your first time.
